Mason's journey was nothing short of miraculous. Born into uncertainty, he faced his first challenge just 48 hours into life. With each passing day in the NICU, he defied the odds of Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. Surrounded by love and hope, our family rallied, embracing every small victory. Each heartbeat became a testament to resilience, reminding us that even the tiniest lives can spark immense courage and joy. Mason's story had only just begun. 

Mason's journey was a heartbreaking testament to the fragility of life. From his first days, he faced challenges that most children never encounter. Each surgery was a battle, a desperate attempt to keep his tiny spirit alive, yet it seemed the odds were stacked against him. His little body endured more than many do in a lifetime, each procedure accompanied by glimmers of hope and shadows of despair.

As his parents, we found ourselves thrust into the role of advocates, navigating a labyrinth of medical jargon, decisions, and, ultimately, heartbreak. We fought tirelessly, raising alarms about care that seemed lacking, feeling the weight of every moment as we stood by our son, pleading for the attention he deserved. The healthcare system, meant to heal, became a source of frustration, as security alerts and dismissive attitudes turned our pleas into battles.

In Mason's final days, we were met with the cruel reality of medical negligence, an injustice that no parent should have to face. Despite our fierce advocacy, he slipped away, leaving an indelible mark on our hearts. At just 16 months old, Mason gained his wings, forever a reminder of both the fragility of life and the relentless love that we forever held for him. His story is one of heartbreak but also of unwavering love, a love that even the darkest circumstances could not diminish.
